Free Birdie Earrings
**Free Birdie Earrings**
The *Free Birdie* earrings came to life from a burst of inspiration—shapes that needed to be put on paper, an idea that felt urgent and personal. As I worked on the design, I found myself deeply connected to it, realizing it was a reflection of my own journey.
These earrings were created during a time when I was letting go of what no longer served me, making space for more freedom from within. Interestingly, it took over a year to complete the design, because, during that time, I was also creating space in my own life to embrace that very freedom.
We all have the ability to be free, if we’re brave enough to look inside.
When I finished the design, I saw it as the shape of a bird’s head from above—a symbol of clarity and open space. Birds glide through the air with ease, playful and carefree. I wanted these earrings to remind you to cultivate that same sense of freedom within yourself, to fly through life with lightness and joy.
This is a limited edition, and I don’t have a lot of stock available right now. But if the timing isn’t right for you to purchase, don’t worry. I’ll be finding more stones for this design because it’s one I truly love.

How is it made?
My design process varies from piece to piece, some I still create in silver and most I carve in wax.
I always start with the crystal first. The shape, colour and energy inspires me to create the design. Often I work with wax, carve it, file it, melt it, press it…the options are endless. Once I am happy with my designs (I usually create a bunch) I send them off to my jewellers to help me with the casting process. There is a lot too it and I rather leave this up to the pros.
Close to my heart is that everyone involved in my business does well.
Therefore, I have chosen to work with a fair trade high end jeweller that empowers balinese artisans to create a viable income from their craft, so they can keep supporting their family.
Furthermore, this jeweller is also using sustainable business practices, such as reduce, reuse, recycle and tree planting in order to protect the earth.
I feel so lucky and grateful to have found such kind and conscious humans to work with. For me, this makes all the difference.
